About | Joni Marie-Soprano

Joni Marie is a cross over and opera singer, actor and music producer with an international audience. At age 8, she began doing Gospel solos and cantor work in church. In high school she received an award for soprano repertoire at Penn State University. Next was the Carnegie Mellon University's Pre-College Program before her family moved to Europe for several years. In Austria Joni Marie's focus turned to classical voice from Italian, French and German composers. She participated in training at Anton Bruckner International University in Linz and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Upon returning to the US, she continued in musical theatre and opera at Carnegie-Mellon University.

She was selected as Miss Pennsylvania and won the talent competition at the national pageant for singing "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton. She sang soprano in a Roger's and Hart quartet in Hilton Head Island. Barbra Steisand Tribute concerts are another one of her credits. She continued training with the famous soprano Patrizia Orciani director of The Opera Studio School in Bologna, Italy. Broadway is another genre she loves having played my roles include Sarah Brown from “Guys and Dolls,” Babe Williams in “The Pajama Game," Guinevere in" Camelot" and Eliza Doolittle In "My Fair Lady." The Opera roles include Mimi in "La Boheme, Lui in "Turandot, Walburga in "La Wally" and Lisette in "La Rondine." Gilbert and Sullivan operetta roles include Phyllis from “Iolanthe,” and Patience in “Patience.’

Prior to the conflict in 2023, she sang the Lyric Opera of Jerusalem participating in Christian concerts and Donizet's "L'elisir d'amore" as Giannetta.

Joni Marie has performed at many Italian festivals highlighting Opera’s arias , Neapolitan classics, Andrea Bocelli and Dean Martin songs. In 2019, she participated in an international recital at Castle Gargonza in Tuscany. Upcoming projects include releases of orginal songs.

Presently Joni Marie is doing live performances in the US, Mexico and Europe. Repertoire ranges from opera, pop and classical favorites. She continues to write and produce new music and videos on her YouTube Channel linked below.
